David is a Special Counsel in our Disputes, Claims, Litigation team.
David has two decades of litigation experience and has dealt with over 2,000 disputes and litigated matters relating to breach of contract, professional duty and duty of care.
David is a qualified mediator and trained in CINERGY™ Conflict management coaching.
Before joining Mullane and Lindsay in 2017, David was National Claims Manager at a niche insurer overseeing the effective and efficient handling of claims in each Australian state and territory. In 2017 David joined Mullane and Lindsay specialising in Professional indemnity, insurance, property disputes and building disputes.
David’s philosophy is that negotiation provides the quickest and best outcomes but when settlement has not been possible, he has an excellent track record of success in court and at tribunal. This is based on careful and accurate analysis of each claim at the outset to establish a solid foundation for negotiation, mediation and (if required) litigation.
David is a guest lecturer for the University of Newcastle Law School Practice Program.
David is a volunteer director of Early Links Support & Inclusion Services, which is a large charity providing NDIS services to children and adults with disabilities in Maitland and the Hunter Region.
