Robert Lindsay

Robert has lived and worked in Newcastle all his life.

Robert became a principal of Mullane & Lindsay in 1980. He remained in that position until he made the decision to reduce his work load in December 2016, when Robert was appointed as a Consultant to Mullane & Lindsay. He continues to work 3 days per week and will do so for the foreseeable future.

With over 41 years experience as a Solicitor, Roberts expertise is extensive.  He continues to work in our ‘Commercial, Business, Property’‘Superannuation, Succession, Retirement’ and ‘Wills, Estates & Trusts’  groups. He is actively involved in all aspects of commercial and residential property transactions. He also advises on commercial law, estate planning and estate litigation including contested will cases. He has represented both claimants and executors in contested will claims.

Mullane & Lindsay has experienced significant growth in estate planning work. Robert advises clients with their estate planning. He understands the benefits of testamentary trusts.  He has extensive experience drafting Wills including testamentary trusts and other elder law documents.

Robert has expertise in various forms of civil litigation including professional indemnity, public liability and general insurance claims and commercial disputes in particular.

Robert is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association, the Australian Insurance Institute and of the Commercial Law Association of Australia. Robert was previously the secretary of Newcastle Law Society for 5 years.

Mullane & Lindsay established a branch office at Tea Gardens in 2001 and Robert continues to be the Solicitor responsible for that office.
