Matilda Jackson-Fowler

Matilda joined our firm in 2018 and is a member of our Separation, Family, Relationships.

She chose to study law because she wanted to help people. While completing her studies, Matilda worked in administrative roles in family and children's law.

Matilda graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Newcastle in 2017. She also holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology.

Matilda was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia in February 2018.

Matilda has a special interest in family law. Relationship breakdown is a traumatic experience as separation impacts all facets of your life, including your emotional and financial wellbeing.

Whether it be through exploring alternative dispute resolution processes or navigating the legal system, Matilda finds it rewarding to assist clients following separation. She is thorough in her preparation, and compassionate and diligent in negotiations, in order to achieve the best outcome for clients.

Matilda appears regularly in the Federal Circuit Court for divorce hearings, including as an agent for regional legal firms.

Matilda is a member of the Law Society of NSW, Newcastle Law Society, New South Wales Young Lawyers and the Hunter Valley Family Law Practitioners Association.
