Superannuation

At Mullane & Lindsay we often advise clients how to ensure their superannuation is paid to the preferred recipient after death.  This includes Self-Managed Superannuation Funds as well as retail and industry funds.

We also regularly assist family members to make claims for superannuation death benefits.  For example, in blended family situations a spouse may make a claim for the funds whilst the deceased children may also wish to make a claim.

Whilst superannuation is generally not released until retirement, there are situations, for example, where early release is possible.  We can work with your accountant or financial planner to make claims for early release.  In addition, if a superannuation fund disputes an entitlement to an insurance pay-out linked with superannuation, we can assist you to fight for your entitlements.

This area of expertise forms part of our wills and estates team. Which is led by Practice Group Leader, Cavelle Lindsay and includes the talents and expertise of Consultant Robert Lindsay and Consultant Felicity Wardhaugh.
