Easing of School COVID Restrictions

From Monday, 8 March 2021 parents and care takers can again enter school grounds to drop off and pick up their children.  Gatherings of parents and/or community members for school events such as working bees or P&C meetings must comply with the gathering limits prescribed by the Public Health Orders.

Parents and care takers can now also attend sporting events at school in a COVID safe way.  There is no clear guidance yet about whether events such as Easter Hat parades and other more social events will proceed in schools with parents and carers permitted to attend this term.

In class activities such as dancing and singing, along with school formals and social events can all now proceed as long as the venues for those events can adequately provide floor space to comply with venue restrictions under the Public Health orders.

We continue to live in interesting times and hopefully the roll out of immunisations world wide and in Australia will soon see life return to normal.
