Innovative leadership recognised for commercial lawyer

Demonstrating our strong commitment to developing future leaders, Mullane & Lindsay has  promoted and appointed commercial solicitor Lachlan Page to Associate Director, responsible for Operational Effectiveness.

Lachlan specialises in commercial, business and corporate law where he has developed a strong relationship with clients ranging from SME business owners to large multinational corporations.

His new role involves helping to continually enhance the firm’s overall effectiveness by introducing new ways to improve existing systems and operations, resulting in better outcomes for staff and clients.

“I have a real passion for adopting technology-based solutions that help change and improve how people do their jobs – be it in the workplace or remotely,” Lachlan explained.

“In the legal sector there are a number of limitations around traditional practice management, particularly when it comes to being able to provide online services for clients.

“Our firm has already introduced several tech-based initiatives that have significantly improved our performance and I am eager to lead the way in exploring other effective solutions.”

Starting at Mullane & Lindsay in 2016, Lachlan now specialises in commercial transactions, leases, agreements and contract disputes, along with business sales, acquisitions, mergers and purchases, restructuring, franchising and pharmacy law. He is also experienced in commercial litigation, particularly in building and construction disputes and leasing litigation, having appeared in the Local & District Courts as well as the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal.

Director Michael McGrath said Lachlan models excellence in all areas of his work. He was instrumental in delivering critical online support when the practice needed to rapidly introduce work-from-home measures during COVID-19 restrictions.

“Lachlan is a rising star and an important team member,” Michael said.

“He is an exemplar of our firm’s core values where we encourage our people to take the lead, improve and develop their skills and, importantly, support others.”
