As a leading and trusted legal firm we are always inspired by the calibre and commitment of our people – and there’s good reason.

Two of our team members have been announced as finalists in three separate industry awards nominations.

Ashleigh John, Director and Family Law specialist, is a dual-finalist in the 2021 NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards. Ashleigh is the only Hunter region representative among five finalists nominated for the Private Practice Lawyer of the Year, and one of only five finalists in the Regional Lawyer of the Year category.

Ashleigh chairs Mullane & Lindsay’s Board, overseeing governance, strategy and business development. She lectures at The University of Newcastle and enjoys nurturing the next generation of lawyers. As President, Hunter Valley Family Law Practitioners Association, her advocacy for regional women lawyers involves contributing to improved changes in court attitudes and practices, and encouraging the retention of young regional lawyers. Consistently recognised by Doyle’s Guide, Ashleigh practices across a diverse range of complex family law issues and is known for being a competent, pragmatic and compassionate advocate and advisor.

Lachlan Page, Associate Director, has been named a finalist in the 2021 Hunter Business Awards – Kristen Keegan Young Business Leader which recognises an inspirational business leader (aged 35 or under) who demonstrates outstanding entrepreneurial spirit, strategic business direction and innovative ideas. Lachlan joins nine other nominees in this category which honours the memory and contribution made by Ms Keegan, a former Hunter Business Chamber Chief Executive and outstanding leader in the business community.

Lachlan specialises in commercial sales, structures and restructuring, acquisitions, mergers, commercial and retail leasing, and pharmacy law. Lachlan’s capabilities were recently recognised with his appointment to Associate Director in charge of Operational Effectiveness where he is responsible for identifying and introducing new technological and innovative systems, and implementing change management initiatives.

We are incredibly proud of the awards finalist nominations given to Ashleigh and Lachlan who are each excellent exemplars of Mullane & Lindsay’s values. It’s also another great example of our firm’s vision: “Excellence and innovation leading to success in all we do for you”.
